THE HEADLINES!!
As you're all well aware, it's been an unbelievable time for people the of New Orleans and those stricken by Hurricane Katrina along the Gulf Coast. The devastation and ultimate long-term effects of the floods have weighed heavily on all our hearts.
Pleasure Club was deeply rooted in New Orleans, and was home to James Hall and Grant Curry. Many of you have written trying to reach the them with your thoughts and prayers. Grant and James want to let you know that they are safe and sound, and are in good spirits, all things considered. The sheer magnitude of this tragedy is nothing short of over-whelming, but they, along with so many others, are trying to move on with their lives as best they can at the moment.
They are forever grateful for the incredible kindness shown by so many of you. Pleasure Club thanks you once again for all the amazing support. Well, the headline reads,
"DEATH TO PLEASURE CLUB," in this weeks Live New Orleans.com edition. I don't know about all that, but the point is clear.
Pleasure Club played its final show in Sauget, IL (St. Louis, MO), Saturday night, May 14th, 2005.
Pleasure Club rocked it for 4 years straight. We recorded 2 studio albums and 1 Live recording. We toured for 3 years around the U.S. with brief stints in Canada and Europe. We gave our fans a genuine high-energy punk-rock/soul experience every time we stepped on stage. We have no regrets and absolutely no doubts that our music, and the shows we gave, will burn permanently in the hearts and minds of the many who saw and heard. God bless PC and the fans who loved them.
